about Sally Reed

Sally Reed is an artist, writer, designer, and all-round communications professional. An omnivorous reader and stimulating conversationalist, she is not afraid to speak her mind. She has been described as: “fierce,” “poetic,” wickedly funny,” and “nothing but trouble since the day she was born.”

Her intaglio prints and artists’ books are in the permanent collections of the Fogg, the Museum of Modern Art, the Boston Public Library and DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Park.

Butter and Lightning is Sally’s second blog, and will of necessity address a wide range of subjects, owing to what she herself has described previously as her “extreme, not to say preposterous catholicity of tastes.”
